In the summer of 2024, I was commissioned to illustrate the front cover of mountain instructor Mike Raine's latest book: 'Riding my Bike, a bikepacker's tales from the trails'. We decided to keep the design minimal, with a focus on the bike silhouette and the border of wild flowers. The border features plants and flowers mentioned in the book, with the red kite also representing the wildlife Mike writes about.
Sustainable Award designs
February 2024- March 2024
Last March I designed two awards for the Student Sustainability Conference at The University of Leeds. My selected awards were 'Education for Sustainable Development' and 'Innovation, Industry and Infrastructure'.
It was important to maintain the sustainable ethos of the awards, and therefore recycled materials were used to create simple, rustic and authentic awards.
Illustrations for The Meridian Magazine
July 2020- August 2020
During Covid 19, the Meridian Magazine was founded by Eve Bennett to give creatives the opportunity to write, edit and illustrate articles addressing global issues.
Volunteering myself as an artist, I illustrated three articles across various months during Lockdown. This was the illustration for an article looking at 'Activism vs Slacktivism'. I communicated with the writer of the article to talk through what the illustration should communicate before designing and creating the artwork.
Poster and Digital Media for UOLBC
May 2024- Present
As of May 2024, I am the Press and Marketing Secretary for The University of Leeds Boat Club. Pictured is an example of some of the content created for the club's welcome fairs and website during recruitment.
